Our most important priorities in this process are to act in accordance with animal health and quality standards.

General Conditions for the Import of Feeder Cattle

In order to import feeder cattle, it is necessary to fulfil the following steps and documents completely:

Determining Import Conditions: The material to be imported and the exporter conditions to be worked with should be determined in advance.

Authorised Person or Company: Transactions must be carried out by a legal or natural person residing in the Republic of Turkey and having a tax number. T.R. ID number is sufficient for real persons.

Customs Registration: First-time importers must register with the customs office. Documents required for this:

Signature circular (signature declaration for real persons),

Certificate of activity,

Trade registry gazette,

Tax liability letter,

Power of attorney (if the transaction will be made through representation),

Identity copies of the officials.

Procedures for the Import of Feeder Cattle

Characteristics Required for Imported Animals

Animals must be male, of cultivated breed or their hybrids.

must be under 12 months of age and under 300 kg.

Must not have any physical defects.

Estrogenic, androgenic, gestagenic substances or b-agonist drugs must not have been administered.

Animals must have an ear tag or microchip for individual identification.

Quarantine Conditions

Animals must be kept for 21 days in quarantine places designated by the importer and approved by the Ministry.

In quarantine, samples should be taken from 5% of the animals and tests should be performed.

If the animals are found healthy at the end of quarantine, domestic animal movements and registration procedures will be completed.

All responsibility during the quarantine process belongs to the importer person / company.

Required Documents

Control Certificate: It should be obtained by applying to the General Directorate of Food and Control.

Registration Documents: It must be approved by the provincial/district directorates.

Quarantine Certificate: Quarantine area conformity certificate.

Veterinary Certificate: It must be approved by the official veterinary service of the exporting country.

Other Matters

Applications of companies with a quarantine capacity of at least 50 heads will be accepted.

Animals will be controlled by veterinarians appointed by the Ministry.

Hormone and antibiotic analysis reports must be submitted together with the certificates.

After the selection report is approved by the veterinarians, dispatch procedures will be initiated.
